1. What we collect

When a contractor creates a nod account, we collect the information they provide: name, business name, trade or service type, email address, and phone number.

When a referrer submits a referral through a contractor's intake page, we collect the information entered at that time: the referrer's name, contact information, a description of the job or lead, and the reward amount the contractor has chosen to record.

We also collect basic technical and usage data — such as log data, browser type, and IP address — for operating and maintaining the service.

2. How we use it

We use the information we collect to operate nod: to create and store referral records, associate those records with the contractor's account, personalize the intake page and automated messages to reflect the contractor's trade and preferences, and send service-related emails such as confirmation messages and account notices.

We do not use your information for advertising or sell it to advertisers.

3. What we never do

We do not sell, rent, or share referral records with third parties for their own use. Referrals recorded in nod are associated with one contractor's account and are not resold, redistributed, or provided to other contractors or lead-generation services.

4. Referrer information

When someone submits a referral through a contractor's nod intake page, they are providing information to be recorded on that contractor's account. nod uses that information only to attribute the referral to the correct contractor and to populate the contractor's records. We do not contact referrers independently or use their information for any other purpose.

5. Payment information

nod never processes, holds, or stores reward payments. All reward payments occur directly between the contractor and their referrer, outside of nod. nod only records the reward amount the contractor chooses to associate with a referral.

Subscription billing for the nod service is processed by our third-party payment processor. nod does not store full payment card numbers or sensitive billing credentials.

6. Retention & deletion

We retain account and referral data for as long as the account remains active. Contractors may request deletion of their account and associated records by contacting us. We will honor deletion requests within a reasonable time, subject to any legal retention obligations.

7. Cookies

We use a minimal set of cookies necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the service. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
